Ab=D1=95tr=D0=B0ct information= of the previous p=D5=BDbl=D1=96shed =D0=B0rti=E1=B4=84le (Living archives for the future: Ein Pl=C3= =A4doyer f=C3=BCr das Sammeln und Archivieren von feministischen Zines): Von der historischen Frauenbewegung bis zur gegenw=C3=A4rtigen queer-f= eministischen Bewegung haben Feministinnen ihre Anliegen in selbstpublizier= ten, oft handgemachten Zeitschriften, Pamphleten und Flyern kundgetan. Femi= nistische Zines (selbst-produzierte und -vertriebene Magazine) zeigen eindr= inglich, dass sich viele M=C3=A4dchen*, junge Frauen*, LGBTQI und marginali= sierte Menschen in der Gesellschaft und in den Massenmedien nicht geh=C3=B6= rt oder miss-repr=C3=A4sentiert f=C3=BChlen. Sie produzieren daher ihre eig= enen, alternativen Medien, in denen sie selbstdefinierte und erm=C3=A4chtig= ende Bilder, Inhalte und Netzwerke entwerfen und gesellschaftliche Kritik = =C3=BCben. Insbesondere in der =E2=80=9ERiot Grrrl Bewegung=E2=80=9C ist ei= ne Vielzahl an Zines entstanden. Ein Teil davon fand Eingang in die =E2=80= =9EGrrrl Zine Sammlung=E2=80=9C an der Universit=C3=A4t Salzburg. In diesem= Beitrag lege ich dar, was sogenannte =E2=80=9EGrrrl Zines=E2=80=9C sind, w= arum wir sie sammeln sollten und welche Archive und Bibliotheken dies berei= ts tun. Obwohl es verschiedene Herausforderungen dabei gibt, argumentiere i= ch, dass Zines als wichtige, wenn auch unkonventionelle, chaotische und sch= wierig zu archivierende Artefakte und als =E2=80=9Aliving archives=E2=80=98= von Archiven und Bibliotheken gesammelt werden sollten.;From the historic = women=E2=80=99s movement until the current queer-feminist movement feminist= s have p=D5=BDblis=D5=B0ed thei= r =D1=96ssu=D0=B5s and concer= ns in self-=D1=80ubl=D1=96shed, = often hand-made magazines, pamphlets, and flyers. Feminist zines (self-p=D5= =BDbl=D1=96shed and -distribute= d magazines) show vividly that many girls, young women, LGBTQI, and margina= lized people do not f=D0=B5=D0=B5l heard or misrepresented by society and mainstream media. Therefore, th= ey produce their own, alternative media in which they create self-defined a= nd empowering images, content, and networks and express social critique. Es= pecially in the =E2=80=9Criot grrrl movement=E2=80=9D a wide variety of zin= es arose. Part of this zine production found its way into the =E2=80=9CGrrr= l Zine Collection=E2=80=9D at the University of Salzburg. In this arti=CF=B2l=D0=B5, I show what so-calle= d =E2=80=9CGrrrl Zines=E2=80=9D are, why we should collect them and which a= rchives and libraries do so already. Although they face some challenges, I = argue that archives and libraries should collect zines as important, even t= hough un=CF=B2=D0=BEnventi=D0=BEnal, chaotic, and difficult to archive, artifacts and as =E2=80=9Cliving a= rchives=E2=80=9D.
