1. We generally picked a summer date (doesn't have to be July, but has
been the past couple of years) because so many ZineLibs are connected to an
academic year, and it's often easier to travel during the summer.
2. We did have a 'committee' of sorts on the ground - usually a couple
of folks who could help with logistics and the running of the conf.
In our case it was me and Chris, Molly from UWM, and maybe Jess
Bublitz(?)  Max Yela also helped, IIRC.
3. Because it's an UNConference, and it's us zine librarians, expect
that people who aren't necessarily local will be willing to help out when
they get to town, or will be happy to offer advice, act as sounding boards,
and will voluntarily taste any fried avocado tacos that need testing.
4. A lot of organizing, registration, workshop proposals, etc. get
done ahead of time, and Zinelibraries.info has become a good place to do
that.  If Ziba need's help, I can make sure that there's space set up, and
I'm guessing Violet would be willing to help, too (but am not speaking for
her, just in case.)

Ditto what Milo said, but I'd also say that looking at the previous years' wikis would be really helpful. We've had a few things almost every year (e.g. a reading, some kinds of shared meals). I'd be happy to email more with Ziba, but I don't have anything particularly smart or useful to say right now, when I really need to get a snack. Missing all y'all beautiful people!
