I think a planning meeting at ZLuC would be a terrific idea. If you'd like to coordinate with the folks running ZLuC this year to have a predetermined time for a ZineCat event, you can get in touch with them at gleesonzinecollective@usfca.edu. I'm still on the fence about attending ZLuC (too much travel this summer) but I'd probably attend if a dedicated ZineCat event was happening. That's really disappointing, especially after they told you the project had a good chance of being funded this time. I will unfortunately not be able to go to ZLuC this year. It's the only weekend of the summer that I need to be in Nova Scotia; any other time I probably could have attended. Well, here's some wild news: the NEH program officer invited us to apply for a chair's grant (up to $30K), so there's still a chance we can have a planning meeting on their dime!!! Would it make sense to add it before or after ZLUC in SF? Amanda, would you be able to make it to a planning meeting if it was not on the weekend, maybe on Thursday? Or would folks prefer it to be at a later date, maybe in January in NYC? Or not NYC?
