Hello friends!
The ZineCat Membership & Outreach subcommittee met today, and decided to start sending out quick post-meeting memos to better communicate across working groups what we’re up to and where we’re trying to go next.
We’re in contact with two libraries chosen from the responses to the “Get Involved with ZineCat” Google Formhttps://forms.gle/oaEbxF67gbuKTERe7 and we may need to connect with the metadata/tech groups to help answer some of their questions as those conversations develop.
To make collaboration easier, we’re interested in hearing how you all are organizing your notes, records, digital work spaces etc. Max will be reaching out to the different subcommittees over the next week about this, but essentially we’re wondering if there is a way to create a more centralized hub for the information produced by the working groups.
ZLuC 2025https://www.zinelibraries.info/wiki/zluc2025/ is this weekend (Nov. 8-9), and we would love anyone who is available to join the ZineCat meeting on Sunday 10:15 am (PST). Our group didn’t have anything formal to bring to the meeting, but thought it would be a good place to check in with the community about what all we’ve been doing and answer questions.
Lastly, Jenna submitted the ZineCat zine to the Academizineshttps://docs.google.com/document/d/1sJDRH4XxCbIJh-jWjKUKO78HqxoS2BXhM2xvdM65CoM/edit?usp=sharing call for proposals and it was accepted! More to come when the issue launches.
See you at ZLUC this weekend!
