Hi folks, The new Zine Thesaurus Management Collective has started hosting monthly virtual Zine Thesaurus Editathons, where we collaboratively update and revise the Zine Subject Thesaurus <https://anchorarchive.org/subject-thesaurus> that is used by libraries and archives worldwide to select subject terms for cataloguing zines and other alternative materials. We would love for others to join our sessions, which happen alternately on third Sundays and Thursdays of each month (see schedule below). We will do a short training and orientation session on how to edit the Thesaurus at the beginning of each Editathon for any new folks. Experience developing or using thesauri and controlled vocabularies is an asset but not necessary. Here are the upcoming editathons (in Eastern time): Sunday, September 15, 5:00 pm Thursday, October 17, 2:00 pm Sunday, November 17, 5:00 pm Thursday, December 19, 2:00 pm Please reply if you would like to join these sessions and I'll send you invitations. Or if you want to come and these dates are not good for you, please let me know what would work better.
