Do any of you know anything about OCLC's Metadata Schema Transformation
Services?

It's also sometimes called Low-Barrier Metadata Creation.  A colleague
tells me it's intended primarily for the creation of vendor records (which
was not my take-away on reading the description), but I'm wondering if it
might have other application that we would find helpful.

I heard about this from the TS Big Heads group a couple years ago. It was pitched as a tool for non-cataloger specialists (e.g. people with special language expertise, etc.) to input basic records for later enrichment.
