Hi Ziba,
It was so nice to see you on Zoom today at the Critical Pedagogy
Symposium!! I had mentioned that Jenna, Milo, and I were working on
something, so I wanted to share some more details!!
Form email we're sending to all potential participants below:
As we continue to plug away at an NEH grant to support developing and
ratifying Zine Union Catalog decision making processes, we're following up
to see if you would be willing and able to attend a planning meeting,
should we be able to pay your way, including meals or per diem.
Here's a quick and delightful form
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSe9QP6Kp3fp3lFTDDSmbIlNLiVrXkg_TBn07vZRg6TIjkiIOw/viewform
that
helps us aggregate responses and track likely participation.
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSe9QP6Kp3fp3lFTDDSmbIlNLiVrXkg_TBn07vZRg6TIjkiIOw/viewform
In order to complete the grant budget accurately, we'll need form responses
by May 25 (completing the form is not a commitment--we won't show up at
your house and drag you to the meeting or even think poorly of you if you
determine you can't make it).
It would be really nice to have your letter from your institution by June
1, but we can wait until June 28 if we have to.
Q & A
the first meeting would be two days between June 1 and September 1
2022, exact dates TBD
the second would be at ZLUC 2023, where participants would arrive a
day early or stay an extra day
expectations for participation
attendance at both meetings
if you join the decision-making body implementation team, four-ish
remote meetings, for which you would be compensated
skills desired or needed: we'll be looking to represent racial,
ethnic, gender, sexuality, disability, library type, and library role
diversities. If we get responses from more people than we can fund, we will
try to make collectively informed decisions about whom to include based on
representing as wide a spectrum of identities as we can
grant stipends can be released to individuals, or to institutions to
cover release time
Please let us know your thoughts. We're contacting you personally because
we're really hoping that you/your zine library will be represented.
Yours,
Milo, Lauren, and Jenna
Hi Lauren,
Great seeing you this morning as well!
I just responded to the form!
Best,
Ziba
