Hi Lauren,

So excited for this weekend! I just have a question about getting into
Bobst past campus security.

We're supposed to show the front desk our photo ID and/or an email we
should've received from the NYU JRNY system with visitor access information
-- I haven't received that email yet. Wondering if that's true for others?

Did those emails not get sent out yet, or maybe there was a form aside from
the registration that I missed?

Thank you for all the work you've put into organizing this, I can't wait to
see and meet all of you!

Hey ZLuC-kers 2024!!

We’re less than one week away and so EXCITED to see you! We have a final
roundup of information, so please review as your schedule permits before
arriving Friday!! The full Zine Librarians unConference will take place on
Saturday, August 3 through Sunday, August 4.

There’s plenty of general info on our main ZineLibraries page about ZLuC
2024 https://www.zinelibraries.info/wiki/zluc-nyc-2024/, but key
details include that we’re meeting at NYU’s Bobst Library
https://library.nyu.edu/locations/elmer-holmes-bobst-library/ and the
activity begins Saturday, August 3 at 9am for breakfast. The full schedule
https://www.zinelibraries.info/wiki/zluc-nyc-2024/schedule-just-a-sketch/
is also available. To get into Bobst Library, you will need to check in
with the campus safety officer at the desk all the way to the right (or
perhaps at the “donut” in the center of the entrance) by showing a photo ID
and/or the email you received from the NYU JRNY system with visitor access
information. There are several revolving doors and a fully accessible door
at the far west side of the Library’s entrance. There will be a ZLuC
Welcome volunteer right behind campus safety to help you navigate to the
2nd Floor, where our activities will commence and ZLuC Registration will
take place (and you’ll be able to sign up for the Sunday tours of zine
collections and archives).

If you get into town on Friday, check out the schedule for suggestions on
social activities to participate in. If you’re staying in NYU Housing
https://www.zinelibraries.info/wiki/zluc-nyc-2024/zluc-housing-info/,
you can find plenty to do around Palladium Hall. If you’ve signed up for
housing, you should have heard from NYU and Lauren Kehoe (
lsrkthelibrarian@gmail.com or lsk221@nyu.edu) with more details. If not,
please contact Lauren ASAP to confirm!! Final housing payment is due
Friday, August 2.

To make sure that everyone has a great time at ZLuC, please familiarize
yourself with our Code of Conduct
https://www.zinelibraries.info/wiki/zluc-nyc-2024/zluc-2024-code-of-conduct/
and COVID policies and mitigation strategies
https://www.zinelibraries.info/wiki/zluc-nyc-2024/covid-policy/. We
strongly encourage masking at all times and please avoid using heavily
scented products (like deodorant, scented lotion, or perfume)! We also have
a statement on the heightened police presence at NYU
https://www.zinelibraries.info/wiki/zluc-nyc-2024/statement-on-heightened-security-and-police-presence-at-nyu/
.

When you check in at the registration desk on the 2nd Floor, you will be
given an opportunity to make a conference badge lanyard choice. There are
three different options and each lanyard will indicate your comfort with
being photographed and/or visually documented. The lanyards with smiley
faces indicate you’re comfortable with photography, a rainbow lanyard
indicates you should be asked first to be in a photo, and cat paws lanyard
means you do not want to be photographed.

There will be a Care Team to address any incidents that arise while at
events that happen at NYU’s Bobst Library, but let us know if you have any
questions or concerns! You can reach the Care Team at: (646) 631-2755

We’ll have printouts of our ZLuC 2024 Zine
https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1lbpoBMfFSbL_fC-0RF9CsFjIbmQrhCjv_-SRk-GFcas/edit#slide=id.p,
but you can browse a digital version (that's still being edited a little)
ahead of time!

See you soon!!

Hi Claudia,

Thanks for inquiring!  The attendee roster hasn't been shared with NYU
campus safety yet, so no emails have been generated as of right now.  It
will soon be shared (likely tomorrow or Thursday) and you'll get a notice
then!  Please be assured, though, that we'll have ZLuC team members in the
lobby near campus safety to ensure a smooth entry!

Best,
Lauren
