Discussion list for memebers of the ZineCat union catalog project
View all threadsHey All,
Techie question: Should we get the Linode (the virtual server) up and
running before Saturday? Or are we still a couple of steps away from
that still?
Do we have an agenda or things that we're thinking about working on?
(un)surprisingly, I'm thinking about xZINECOREx and how to extend and
finalize it into something standard.
What about you?

Hey Milo,
Hello everyone,
I’m definitely not ready to start building anything. However, I am interested in a conversation about metadata mapping. I use xZINECOREx to catalog the zines at MCTC Library and would like to be involved with the group that maps xZINECOREx to MARC/RDA/AACR2. Maybe this is a working group?
Were there notes from the last meeting, I can’t find them in my email (thanks Microsoft).
Where should I send my financial contribution to get a month named after me? I would like March if possible, I just like that month a lot.

Hey Milo,
From my end I think we're not there yet. I think we need a little more what we're doing, but I cede that call to all y'all that will be command lining.
Has everyone else signed onto this list? Did you send an open invite to the Zine Librarians list to join it?
Btw we now have two months paid for, one named after Jeremy Brett and one for Kelly Wooten. Well, I'm not sure Kelly has sent me the money yet, but I assume she's good for it. ;)

I somehow didn't put the time of the work session on my calendar. Can
someone remind me?
Also, how are we communicating? Etherpad?

I have it in my calendar as 1pm Central on Saturday, (so 2:00 EDT, etc.)
Etherpad works for me.

The notes from last meeting are on the wiki, which I can never remember and can't access right now because I'm not at my computer.
