Hi ZLuC 2024 people, On the morning of our first day together, Saturday, Aug 3, *please test for COVID* before showing up at NYU. Tips for ensuring a more accurate home-test result: - Test as soon as you wake up and BEFORE eating or drinking anything. - Blow your nose before swabbing your nostrils. - Swab the inside of your mouth (inside both cheeks, back of tongue, roof of mouth), THEN swab your nostrils. - When swabbing your nostrils, go as far back as possible. - With the swab, circle each nostril at least five times. - Let the swab sit in the solution tube for one full minute. - Stir the swab in the tube, then squeeze the sides of the tube as you take the swab out. - Add one more drop than instructed to the test strip. If you test positive, DO NOT COME TO ZLUC 2024. We will work toward getting you a refund. At the end of ZLuC 2024, please test. If you test positive after ZLuC, please email me to let me know. At ZLuC 2024, we are working to provide free COVID tests for you to take with you. As a reminder, while on-site at NYU, we're asking ZLuC 2024 attendees to *wear a mask*. Free masks will be provided to you upon arrival at the unconference. At off-site events (zine reading at P&T Knitwear, zine tours, etc.), wearing a mask is optional, but I personally will be masking.
